We are delighted to announce that the Mineralogy & Museums 10 conference will be held at Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales, Cardiff, Wales, 12th-13th August, 2024, with an option of post- conference trips. (In spite of the challenges facing our Museum Wales colleagues, announced in late February, we are happy to confirm that this conference will go ahead in Cardiff on these dates. Registration is now ‘live‘.)

M&M10 has been timed to allow participants to travel on to EMC2, in Dublin (18th-23rd August).

This conference will focus on Collections, Research, Care and how to make them accessible to the widest range of users and relevant to society.

We aim to bring those with these common interests together to share ideas, knowledge and experience, and strengthen international links. This is the tenth meeting in the international conference series organized by the Commission on Museums of the International Mineralogical Association. To make the meeting as accessible as possible the two-day program will include both in-person and remote talks, lightning talks and poster presentations.

The conference is preceded by a range of optional site visits to key UK mineralogy museums.

A choice of fieldtrips will take place on 14th and 15–17th August.
